vet
May 24, 1951 – Apr 3, 2020

Service Details

A private memorial service will be held at a later date, with details to be shared when they become available. In the meantime, think of Bob next time you cast a line, get dealt a good hand, or sit beside a roaring bonfire. You will be missed, Old Man. Now, get home and let out the puppies!

Sturtevant –Robert L. LeViseur, Jr., age 68, died unexpectedly at his residence on Friday, April 3, 2020.

Bob was born on May 24, 1951 in Youngstown, OH, son of the late Robert L. and Mary M. (nee: Kinnear) LeViseur. Bob proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine, having held the esteemed position of scout sniper in the Vietnam War. On August 5, 1972, he was united in marriage to Sandra L. Hulton in Boardman, OH.  Sandy and Bob remained life partners for 47 years, modeling the principles of love, patience, and dedication, to their family.

Bob loved a good game of poker and enjoyed early mornings fishing, afternoons, fishing, and evenings fishing. By far, however, his life revolved around his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife Sandy, their three children, Jennifer (Bob’s fishing buddy, David LaFever) LeViseur, Frank (Becky) LeViseur, Michael (Maggie) LeViseur; and grandchildren, Brittanie (Valenteeno Jones) LeViseur, Amanda (Salino) Cartagena, Nathaniel LeViseur, Adeline and Owen Poetz, and Winifred Mabel LeViseur.  Papa will be dearly missed by his great grandchildren Sophia, Ariana, & Jaxson Cartagena, and ZaKiya Hampton. Bob is further survived by his sister, Mary Ann Dubos as well as good friends Bill and Anne Brown.

Special thanks are given to Candy McManaman, a friend who is family, for her loving care during this difficult time.

Sandy, I am very sorry for the loss of your husband.
Sophia, Ari, Jaxson, I am so sorry you lost your great grandpa.
Amanda, my dear, words cannot express how very sorry I am for you with the loss of your grandpa. He was your world. You talked about him all the time. He will always be with you in your heart. Hopefully, him and my dad are getting to know each other. Both of them were wonderful men. To the family of Bob that I missed addressing, I am so very sorry that he was taken away from you all so suddenly, especially now with everything going on in the world. If anyone needs anything please don’t hesitate to ask me. Big hugs kids and Amanda. I am so very sorry.

    Sandy and family:
So sorry for this sudden loss. Praying for you all. Take time to let God’s Word comfort and heal you. Read passages about Heaven, like John 14, Philippians 3:21; and about God’s strength Deuteronomy 31:6, Isaiah 26:3, Isaiah 41:10.
Sending love to you. Glad for the memories. Carol
