South Milwaukee (formerly of Racine)- Robert James Staples, 61, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at St. Luke’s South Shore in Cudahy. Bob was born in Racine on February 11, 1946 to the late Vernon and Helen (nee: Mutchie) Staples. A 1964 graduate of St. Catherine’s High School, Bob devoted his entire career serving others as a respiratory therapist. He was employed for over 32 years at St. Luke’s South Shore Hospital in Cudahy. As Bob’s health began to fail due to the cancer, he retired in 2005. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed scuba diving, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. Bob was also an accomplished pilot. Above all, he was friendly, outgoing and treasured the times spent with those he loved. May he rest in peace. Surviving are his sisters and brothers, Patricia (Terry) MacDougall of Lewisville, TX; Richard (Ruth) Staples and Kathleen (Doug Benson) Hougard, both of Racine; Randall (Coleen) Staples of Cheyene, WY; and Brian (Charlene) Staples of Delavan; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the funeral home on Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 7:00 pm. There will be time to visit with the family on Sunday from 4-7 pm. Interment will take place at the Staples Family Cemetery in Wild Rose on Saturday, October 20th. In memory of Bob, memorials to the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic – South Shore (5900 S.
