RACINE – Bob Creuziger, 85, passed away at the Wisconsin Veterans Home – Boland Hall on Wednesday, August 9, 2017.
He was born in Racine on September 29, 1931, the son of the late Floyd and Irene (nee: Morgenstern) Creuziger. Bob proudly served his nation with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On June 10, 1961, he married Alta Dearth at Atonement Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2003.
Bob worked in insurance and auto sales for many years where he was affectionately known by co-workers and customers as “Young Bob.” He was active and passionate about his involvement with AA since 1984. Bob enjoyed spending his time biking, walking, golfing, gardening and playing cards and cribbage with friends and family. A self-proclaimed “favorite uncle” to all of his nieces and nephews, his greatest joy came with being in the company of his family.
He is survived by his children, Julie (Anthony) Appollonio, Michael (Patty) Creuziger both of Racine, Amy (Russell) Konstans of Rochelle, IL; his grandchildren, Andrew and Brandon Gorelik, Catherine and Daniel Creuziger, Nikos and Baxter Konstans and Domenik Appollonio; one brother, Fritz (Lenore) Creuziger of Racine, one sister Janice Ward of Kenosha; two sisters-in-law Margie Dearth of Texas, Aletha Masbruch of West Bend, WI, and one brother-in-law Gary Muth of Franksville; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Alta, Bob was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Muth, sister-in-law Vayda French, brothers-in-law Roger Ward, William French, Wayne Dearth and Robert Masbruch.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Monday evening for a visitation from 5-7 p.m. The service celebrating and honoring his life will take place in the funeral home on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Warren D. Williams officiating. There will also be an additional visitation from 9:30 -1O:30 a.m. His interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park with military honors.
The Creuziger family extends a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff of the Wisconsin Veterans Home at Boland Hall for the loving and professional care they provided to Bob.
