Robert "Robbie" Scott Olson

Nov 21, 1968 – Mar 25, 2015

Yorkville – Robert S. Olson, affectionately known as “Robbie”, 46, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, March 25, 2015. He was born in Racine on November 21, 1968, son of the late Orville and Sally (nee: Smith) Olson.

Robbie was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Lisa Marie Trucker, on June 5, 1993.

Robbie is a graduate of J.I. Case High School.  He was an avid fisherman and an animal lover.  He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially at their property in St. Germain.  Robbie was a drummer since he was 18 years old and loved to play.  He was in two bands over the years, Sin Wagon and Liaizon.  Robbie also took up painting in the last few years and enjoyed feeding his artistic side.  Above all, Robert loved his family and cherished the time spent with them.  He will be dearly missed.

Robbie leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Lisa Olson; daughters, Victoria Olson, Rachel Olson; siblings, Marty Olson, Todd Olson, Kathy Schmidt, Kristine (Jim) Skowronski, Eric Olson, Karen Montgomery, Kim Janicek, Mark Olson; canine companion, Buddy; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents, Robbie is preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Olson.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2015, 2pm until 5pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will continue on Monday, March 30, 2015, 11:30am until 1:30pm, at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Avenue.  A celebration of Robbie’s life will begin at church at 1:30pm on Monday with Rev. Dr. Warren D. Williams officiating.  Entombment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park.

I’m so very sorry for your family’s loss. I will miss him and the times Robbie and I would jam together for hours sometimes. Never getting tired. My friend is now playing with the greats. I hope Johnny Bonham shows him that beat he always struggled to play. I love you Bro. It still hasn’t sunk in. We’ll meet and jam again, I’m sure.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
