Family and friends are invited to meet at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. for a public visitation. The celebration of his life and funeral mass will be held on Saturday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (6400 Spring St) at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. William Dietzler officiating. There will also be a visitation in the church on Saturday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia will follow the mass. Ron’s family wishes to thank the emergency physicians and staff at All Saints Medical Center and the Neuro I.C.U. at Froedtert Hospital for doing all they could to help Ron. Also, a special thank you to the Wisconsin Donor Network for giving the family an opportunity for Ron to be an organ donor.

On behalf of the UAW Local 180 Executive Board, Bargaining Committee and membership, we extend to “Roni” and the entire family our deepest sympathy on the untimely loss of Ron.

Those of us that knew him, knew him to be a gentle and caring person with a great sense of humor.

I will always remember Ron because of something we always said to each other if we crossed paths in the plant. Since I live just around the corner from you we had this little saying when addressing each other. It was: “Hi Neighbor”. I always got a little kick out of that and will miss hearing it.

May God Bless You and Give You Comfort in the Days ahead.

    John Valko, President
    UAW Local 180

Ron’s golfing and dinner company will be missed at North Hills Country Club. We shared many good times. I met Ron about 30 years ago at J.I.Case and about six weeks ago enjoyed finishing in the money in a golf event. Every dinner he reflected on his children. A sorry loss. Gary Gongola

I have known Ron for approximately 24 years total and in the last 3 1/2 years I have had the pleasure of becoming very close to Ron. In your life you have few times to connect with individuals that are real and want to know you for who you are. Ron was one of those times. I will miss him and words cannot describe my compaasion for his friends and family in this time of grief.

  22. Thomas Tuttle says

I was out of town last week and was saddened with this news. I am one of the Engineers working in Burr Ridge that worked with Ron. He and I go back to the Case and IH merger in 1985. I began working with Ron at the Tractor Plant and gained a great deal of respect for his knowledge of machining. Ron was always glad (not really) to see me when I would stop by to see him, but after a few years I think I grew on him. He was a friend that will be missed greatly. My condolences to your family.
