On February 2, 1952, here in Racine, she was united in marriage to Udall “Udie” Neels who preceded her in death on March 6, 2006. Rose was a longtime employee of J.I. Case Co. and later, employed by Hansche School. She was a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Catholic, where she was Treasurer of the Rosary Society. Most recently she was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, baking, and was an expert gardener. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., on Saturday, March 24th, at 10:00 a.m. for her Funeral Mass, with Rev. Jeffrey M. Thielen officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. The family has suggested memorials to either Hospice Alliance or the Oncology Alliance Philanthropy Fund. Rose’s family would like to thank her many friends, neighbors and caregivers who helped her in countless ways as she valiantly fought colon cancer.

Testimonials

A huge heart felt thank you!

My Aunt, Alvera Van Brunt, was adamant about not having a funeral; with Mike Langendorf’s skills and refreshing open personality, we were able to meet her desires and also give her family and friends a chance for final goodbyes.
