Ruby Jean Day (70) entered Eternal life on August 18,2020. She was born on July 29,1950 in Racine, WI. She recently celebrated her 70th birthday. Ruby accepted the Lord as her Savior in the year 2000.
Ruby was an active member at Glorious Light Church of the Living God where she held many titles. Environmental specialist, usher, deaconess, and a mother on the mother board. She was passionate about the pastor’s aid, cooking, witnessing, bible studies, and intercessory prayer.
She was employed at Lincoln Lutheran, Dremel’s, All Saints, SC Johnson Waxdale and later retired at Next Generation Now.
Ruby will always be remembered for her bubbly personality, kindness, and generosity.
Ruby was united in holy matrimony to the late Johnny Day. She leaves to cherish her daughter Yolanda Williams. Three grandchildren Marcus Jackson, Marquan Clemmer, and Terrance Clemmer. Four great grandchildren Jah’mariana Jackson, Layanna Clemmer, A’Honesty Clemmer, and Kaiden Brown. Ruby also leaves to cherish her six sisters, Brenda(Gregory)Cobb,Cora(Eddie)Vinson,UthaCobb,Sherra(Bobby)Vinson, Onia(Aree)Pulliam, Felesia Williams,Sonya Kay Carter. Also, two god-daughters Stephanie Breckenridge, Jada Hardy, and her very special friends Charlene King and Christine Holman. She was preceded in death by her parents Guy and Mattie Williams, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to meet in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory on Thursday, August 27, 2020 for a visiation and viewing from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. A service celebrating her life and Homegoing will follow at 11:00 a.m. Her interment will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
