Ruth Marie Haney

Aug 2, 1923 – Feb 28, 2007

Mrs. Ruth Haney, 83, died at Lincoln Village Convalescent Center on Wednesday, February 28, 2007. A lifelong resident, she was born on August 2, 1923 to the late Earl and Josephine (nee: Krainak) Meyers, Sr. On April 12, 1947, she married Norbert P. Haney in St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 13, 1977. Ruth was employed by Pugh Oil for almost 50 years. She was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church and enjoyed volunteering at Becker–Shoop Center. Ruth was devoted to her family and friends. Her vibrant spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Her survivors include her daughter, Linda (Kenneth) Kuehnl of Racine; grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Richard of Milwaukee, Amy Edwards, Christian Kuehnl and Philip Kuehnl all of Racine; great grandchildren, Addison Richard, Skye Edwards, Kathrin Savage, Alex Kuehnl, Colvin Kuehnl and Charles Kamp; brother, Eugene (Shirley) Meyers of Appleton; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Jeanette Meyers of Racine, Laverne Haney, Orville (Adele) Haney both of Kenosha and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth’s father and mother-in-law, Frank and Cecelia Haney; sisters-in-law, Evelyn (Patrick) Tyson, Doris (Francis) Tyson; brothers, Earl, Joseph and Edward Meyers and brother-in-law, Eugene Haney also preceded her in death. Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Lucy Catholic Church (3101 Drexel Ave.) on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of her funeral Mass with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. There will be a visitation in the church on Saturday from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Private burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. Ruth’s family extends a heartfelt thank you to both Lincoln Village Convalescent Center and Hospice Alliance for their compassion and tender care.
