Stanley A. Kuzia

Nov 12, 1922 – Nov 3, 2007

RACINE – Stanley A. Kuzia, 84, died at WFH- All Saints on Saturday, November 3, 2007. He was born in Crandon, Wisconsin on November 12, 1922 to the late Paul and Eleanor (nee: Obremski) Kuzia. On November 9, 1946, he married the former Genevieve Mary Tarwid at St. Rose Catholic Church. Stanley served his nation with the U.S. Army during WWII. After the war, he worked 30 years for the US Postal Service, retiring in 1976. In his earlier years, Stanley excelled in athletics. He was especially regarded for his talents on the basketball court. Although he honorably wore the titles of veteran, postal carrier and athlete, he was most proud to be husband, father and grandfather. His family and his faith were the priorities in his life. In addition to his wife, Genevieve, he is survived by his children, Karen (Robert) Hillary of LaCrosse, Diane (Mark) Curtin of Sarasota, FL, Ron Kuzia, Janice (Randall) Suhr both of Racine, Gary Kuzia of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Lisa and Anna Hillary, Stacy and Scott Curtin, Gabe Cielaki, Jake Kuzia and Heather and Jason Suhr. Stanley is further survived by his brother, Edward (Dorothy) Kuzia of Racine. His beloved daughter, Linda Kuzia preceded him in death. A private memorial Mass for Stanley was held by his family at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. His entombment followed at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in Caledonia. Memorials have been suggested to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.

Testimonials

March 13, 2025

Thank you so very much for the exemplary care that you provided for both our mom and dad. Your family is extremely kind and exudes much empathy towards others. You and your staff display much professionalism with great talent and attention to detail. Mom and dad were always very particular in their appearance. Mom would say, You are leaving a lasting impression of yourself with someone to remember you by. Your parents taught you boys well; be very proud of that! Love on them, as death is so very permanent.

Holly and I are officially orphans now. It is people like your family and David Huck being there for us, that bring comfort when you are going through one of the most difficult challenges life throws at you.

I thank God every day for our Ostergaard family and will always cherish the memories.

Love you,

Jody Burlingame Wagner
