Memorial Suggestions

In lieu of flowers, memorials to help cover Susan’s medical expenses or donations in Susan’s memory to your preferred cancer-based charity are suggested.

Clintonville – Susan M. Krueger, formerly of Racine, passed away surrounded by the comfort of family on Monday, June 26, 2017 after an extended battle with brain cancer. She was 52. Susan was born in Milwaukee on March 22, 1965, the daughter of Elmer and Judith (nee: Zilke) Johnson. Susan graduated from Horlick High School in 1984, and worked as a CNA at the Southern Wisconsin Center for many years. She moved with her brother and sister-in-law and family from Racine to Hilbert, WI in 2006, and most recently to Clintonville, WI in 2011.

Susan enjoyed playing card games, shooting pool, and anything cat themed. She was a great listener with heartfelt conversations, but was also always up to share the most recent gossip in a story. She was often shopping online and frequently looking for ways to spoil her family, be it sending a surprise package to their door or taking them to an entertainment show at the PAC in Appleton. She was affectionately referred to as “Kitty,” a name given to her by her niece Cheyenne.

Susan is survived by her parents, Elmer and Judith Johnson of Racine; her brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Karen Johnson Sr. of Clintonville, Robert and Peggy Johnson and Timothy and Debbie Johnson all of Racine; her nieces and nephews, Carla (Casey) Ziolkowski, William Johnson Jr., Raymond (Lauren) Johnson, Cheyenne Johnson, and Carley Johnson; great-niece Gracelyn Ziolkowski; as well as many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her niece Alice Johnson and nephew Robert Johnson Jr.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11am with Pastor Steven Conradt officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Caledonia. Visitation will be in the funeral home Thursday evening from 5pm-7pm, and on Friday morning beginning at 10am. The family would especially like to thank the kind staff of Atrium at Evergreen nursing home and ThedaCare Hospice in Shawano, WI for their excellent quality care given to Susan. In lieu of flowers, memorials to help cover Susan’s medical expenses or donations in Susan’s memory to your preferred cancer-based charity are suggested.
