Teresita De La Cruz, Sr.

Service Details

A celebration of Teresita’s life will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2019, 11:00am, at Holy Disciple Pentecostal Church, 423 Randolph Street, with Rev. A.W. Scaife officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of the service.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.

Mrs. Teresita De La Cruz Sr. was born on November 18, 1946 and departed this life on October 9, 2019, at Froedtert South medical Center at the age of 72, after a lengthy illness.

Teresita was born in San Antonio, Texas to the parents of Edmundo Lopez and Margarita Garcia.

Teresa attended Lorenzo De Zavala elementary school and Raymond B. Cooper Junior High School and later attended Gateway Technical College. Teresa a loving mother and homemaker. Teresa dedicated her life to making a home and taking care of her family as well as being a friend and helping others. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She liked to watch cooking and game and classics tv shows and coloring.

Teresita was preceded in death by her husband, Juan De La Cruz Jr.; her father, Edmundo Lopez; her sister, Yvette Flores; and her brother, Benigo Lopez

Teresita is survived by her mother, Margarita Lopez of San Antonio, Tx; four brothers, Edmundo Jr., Raymundo, Rudulfo and Michael Lopez of San Antonio, Tx; six sisters, Maria Lusia Landeros, Juanita De La Paz, Rita Hernandez, Santa Gerreo, Olivia Puente and Diane Zetia of San Antonio; four sons, Joe Thomas Lopez of San Antonio, Tx. Johnny and Anemencio De La Cruz of Kenosha, WI and Joseph De La Cruz of Racine, WI; two daughters, Teresita De La Cruz Jr. of Kenosha, WI and Eloisa De La Cruz-Portis of Racine, WI; seven grandchildren, Patrick Thomas and Ezra Xander of San Antonio, Tx. Johnnie, Kamiah, Mariah, Joharra and Joseph of Racine, WI; four great grandchildren, Sunny, Sunjay, Schannel, Juan of Racine, WI; two close friends, Julia Martin and Belinda McGee. She is further survived by adopted grandchildren, relatives and friends.
