Racine – Thomas Francis Clickner, age 82, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday evening, November 21, 2017.

Tom was born in Racine on January 20, 1935 to the late Glenn and Violet Mae (nee: Chester) Clickner. He graduated from Washington Park High School in 1953. Tom faithfully served our country with the United States Army from 1955-57. On December 25, 1955, he was united in marriage with Mary (nee: Seeds) Clickner, who preceded him in death on April 16, 2002. On October 20, 2007, Tom was united in marriage with JoAnn (nee: Rice, Leuker) Clickner.

With a profound work ethic, Tom was employed by American Motors / Chrysler for over 30 years, retiring as a foreman in 1989. In retirement, he worked as a funeral associate with Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home. Among his interests, Tom was active with trap shooting clubs, Bridge clubs, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, American Legion, hunting, casino gambling and was an extremely talented woodworker. Above all, he loved spending time with his entire family.

Surviving are his loving wife, JoAnn; son, Scott (Pam) Clickner; daughter, Colleen (Bob Salvatore) Rigden; grandchildren, Justin (Mallory) Clickner, Matthew Clickner, Ricky Clickner, Josh Rigden and Jake Salvatore; great-grandchildren, Landon, Easton and Nora Clickner; sister, Doris Mae (Jim) Bryant; father-in-law, Chuck (Jeanne) Grant; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Erna Clickner, Sandra (Rick) Hall, Joseph (Karen) Rice, Karen E. Rice, Linda Rice and Paul (Margaret) Rice; cousins, Jack (Cele) Clickner and Shirley Horvath; devoted friends, Sandy & Bernie Mann; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and first wife, Tom was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald (Millie) Clickner, Howard (Esther) Clickner and Raymond Clickner; brothers-in-law, Jack (Honey Mae) Seeds and Wayne Rice; and mother-in-law, Pauline Mardak.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:30 am at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Paulson officiating. Interment, with military honors, will take place in West Lawn Memorial Park. A reception will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 9:30 – 11:30 am. Memorials to the charity of one’s choice have been suggested.

A heartfelt note of thanks to the entire staff at Villa at Lincoln Park for the compassionate care and support given in Tom in his time of need. May God bless all of you!
