Thomas R. “Bubba” Mueller

Dec 25, 1958 – Nov 8, 2008

Kenosha – Thomas R. “Bubba” Mueller, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 8, 2008. He was born in Bamberg, Germany on December 25, 1958, and spent his young life both in the US and in Germany. He had been a Racine and Kenosha area resident since 1976. Tom attended Park High School; was very proud of becoming a US citizen, and of his military service in both the US Army and the Bundeswehr/German Army. Tom was employed by Siemens Energy, Inc. as a Senior Field Specialist. He enjoyed his work and the world-wide travel opportunities it gave him. In his free time Tom loved to fish and camp, play soccer and golf, and was an avid Packer fan. He also liked to put on family cookouts and was known for his fantastic bratwurst. Nothing was more important to him than his children. He is survived by his wife, Miya Mueller of Kenosha; children, Thomas R. Mueller, Jr., and Lyla Mueller both of Waterford, Wesley (Jennifer L.) Wilson of Chicago, Illinois, and Jennifer H. Wilson of Gangneung, S. Korea; parents, John and Maria (nee: Mueller) Boehm of Racine; brother, Scott (Connie) Boehm of Racine, and Patricia (Bernhard) Brandt of Schornweisach, Germany; his former wife, Karen (Gary) Klinkosh Tenfel of Waterford; he beloved uncles, Rudy Mueller of Hallstadt, Germany and George Mueller of Bamberg, Germany; as well as his aunts and uncles, nieces nephews, and cousins both here and in Germany. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Barbara “Oma” and Michael “Opa” Mueller, Orlea and Edmund Boehm; uncle Adi Meisel, aunt Inge Mueller; and cousin Christopher Pistor. He will always be loved and dearly missed by his family. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2008 with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. All are invited to visit with the family in the funeral home beginning at 4:00 p.m. Committal services with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2008, at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove.

I had met Thomas earlier this year while working in the Houston shop. I had questions about the V84 engines and even though he was very busy he found time to help and answer my questions. I was told by others that if you want to know about the V84 engine Thomas was the guy to go to. From every thing I heard he was well respected for his knowledge and willing to help. I’m very sorry that he is no longer with us.
