Aug 24, 1913 – Dec 18, 2006

Racine – Thomas Steven Flannigan, 93, passed away at Timber Oaks in Union Grove on Monday, December 18, 2006. He was born August 24, 1913, the son of James and Nellie (nee: Killian) Flannigan. Mr. Flannigan retired from Young Radiator after working more than 30 years as an expeditor. All through his life he had a keen interest in the stock market, which began when he worked at the stock exchange in downtown Racine as a young man. Tom also enjoyed watching sports on TV, and his favorite teams were the Packers, Bucks, and the Chicago Cubs. He was formerly a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Tom is immediately survived by his nieces, Elizabeth Patzke, Nancy Frederick, and Patricia Drettwan; grand nieces and nephews, Mark Patzke, Lori Patzke, Linda Jones, Brenda Frederick, Sandy Szostak, Michael Anderson, Lisa Thiery, Kenneth Anderson, Timothy Anderson, and Nicholas Jensen; and 18 great-grand nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded by his brothers and sister, Jerome (Connie) Flannigan, Elmo (Mildred) Flannigan, and Patricia (Albert) Drettwan; and his grand nephews, William Anderson, Jr., Ronny Anderson, and Guy Anderson. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 12 noon on Saturday, December 23, 2006 with Rev. William Dietzler officiating. All are invited to meet with the family on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. Many thanks to Dr. Richard Odders and the staff of the All Saints Cancer Center; Hospice Alliance; and everyone at Timber Oaks for the wonderful and compassionate care that Tom received from all of you.
