Tue Minh Tran

Jun 22, 1987 – Nov 22, 2007

Racine – Pvt. Tue Minh Tran, 20, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 22, 2007. Tue was a proud and enthusiastic soldier deployed in Iraq with the 10th Mountain Division, 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry; and was currently home on leave at the time of his death. Tue was born in Vietnam on June 22, 1987. In 1991 he and his family came to the United States, settling in California. They then moved to Racine in 1996, where he attended Starbuck Middle School, Park High School, and Gateway Technical College. He will be remembered for his goofy and humorous nature, love of music, and his fondness for Popeye’s Chicken. He was best known for always having good intentions no matter what the task. He had a kind heart and was always loyal to his friends. Tue was looking forward to attending college following his enlistment. He is survived by his girlfriend Courtney Smith and their daughter, Jordyn Tran; his parents, Tan Tran and Huyen Phan; sisters, Nhu Tran and Lynn Tran; brother, Tri Tran all of Racine; and grandparents Hien Tran and Thiep Phan in Vietnam. He is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Complete funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2007. Visitation will be in the funeral home from 9:30-11:15, followed by procession to Graceland Cemetery for committal services and military honors. Memorials to the Jordyn Tran Scholarship Fund have been suggested.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

Dear Bob,
I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and everything you did for my grandfather’s funeral. Looking back on it, I think Gramps would have been so proud of how everything turned out and it would not have been possible without your help. Your staff is amazing and has allowed us the grieve without worrying about the little details of everything that goes into making the arrangements and planning the services. You helped us honor one of the most amazing men in my life, and it meant so much to me personally and to my family. Thank you for everything.
Take care,
Jessie Tuttle
