William "Bill" Johnson

May 11, 1945 – Apr 9, 2009

William M. Johnson, 63, died unexpectedly in the United Hospital System -Kenosha, on Thursday, April 9, 2009. He was born in Racine on May 11, 1945 the son of the late Joseph and Marie (nee: Neubauer) Johnson. Bill served his country with the U.S. Air Force as a crew chief during the Viet Nam Era. He had been employed by Twin Disc and retired from Estes Express Lines in 2007. Bill was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church and the American Legion Post 171 in Union Grove. Bill enjoyed golfing but he cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren Bill enjoyed being with his family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his daughters; Kimberly Rango of Racine, and Melissa (Fernando) Velez of Las Vegas, NV; 4 grandchildren, Rachel, John, Amaya and Ava, 3 brothers, Dick (Nancy) Johnson of Woodruff, Kenneth (Shirley) Johnson of Wausau, and Chuck (Sue) Johnson of Twin Lakes; his beloved partner Shirley Dulio of Kenosha. His nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends further survive Bill. His Funeral Service, with full military honors, will be held in the funeral home on Monday, April 13th at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Warren Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Cremation will follow at a later date. The family would like to thank entire staff of the Zablocki VA Hospital and the Union Grove Veterans Clinic for their care and concern for Bill.

    we r so sorry for your loss bill was a great guy and a great friend he will b missed by us so much frank and i loved bill like a brother he always kept in touch with us after him and frank did not work at estes any longer . he will truely b missed by us and everyone he new . thanks 4 the memories bill we love u . god will take care of u.
