William R. Kaisler

Nov 6, 1924 – Dec 2, 2012

   MOUNT PLEASANT – Mr. William R. Kaisler, 88, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Sunday, December 2, 2012. 

   He was born in Racine on November 6, 1924, the son of the late Rudolph and Mary (nee: Bodek) Kaisler.  Mr. Kaisler was educated at St. John Nepomuk as well as other various Racine schools.  In 1947 he married Lorraine Hansen.  She preceded him in death in 1991.  On April 23, 1993 he married Jean (nee: Rasmussen) Williams.

   Mr. Kaisler retired from Young Radiator in 1985 after 42 years of employment.  He was a devoted longtime member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church where he served as an usher for over 25 years. He also volunteered at the Catholic Northside Food Pantry.

   In addition to his loving wife, Jean, he is survived by his children, Terri (Bob) Olley of Sturtevant, Paulette (Jeff) Bahr of Racine, Jeff Kaisler of Davenport, IA; his five grandchildren, Danielle, Stacy and Samantha Bahr, Cameo(Andrew) Salembier and Brandon (Kristin) Kaisler.  He is further survived by Jean’s daughter, Debra Marjala and her daughter, Monica Marjala and Jean’s son, Robert Williams all of Kenosha; his brother, George (Marvis) Kaisler of Madison; sister-in-law, Anne Kaisler of Laramie, WY; as well as numerous dear nieces, nephews , other relatives and friends.  In addition to his first wife, Lorraine, Mr. Kaisler was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

   Family and friends are invited to meet at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church (700 English St.) on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of his life and funeral Mass with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.  There will be a visitation in the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m.  His interment will follow the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.   In lieu of flowers, memorials have been suggested to St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church.

   The family wishes to sincerely thank all the special people at Ridgewood Care Centerand Gentiva Hospice for the loving and professional attention Mr. Kaisler received while under their care.
