Mount Pleasant – William W. Connell, 83, known to everyone as “Bill”, went to meet the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2018.  He was born on December 21, 1934, son of the late Wenzel and Mary (Née: Gibson) Connell.

Bill was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Patricia Ann Pesko, on May 19, 1956.

Bill faithfully served his country in the United States Army.  He was the owner and operator of MidStates Controls Corporation, an electrical engineering firm.  In his free time, he was a licensed pilot and enjoyed flying his Cessna 310.  He was the president of the hangar association for the Kenosha Airport.  After retirement, Bill enjoyed spending time reading the newspaper, watching the news, and doing crossword puzzles.  Bill and Patricia spent the winters in Tucson, Arizona, their home away from home.  They enjoyed the time they were able to spend there with their friends.  Bill loved his family tremendously and will be dearly missed by all.

Bill leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of over 61 years, Patricia Connell; children, Robert Connell, Mike (Romy) Connell, Karen Deleon; grandchildren, Gage Connell, Edward Connell, Michelle Connell, Stephen Connell, Samuel Connell, Lando Deleon, Sophia Deleon; sister-in-law, Cathy Connell; his faithful canine companion, Digger; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Connell, and Robert Connell.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018, 6:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road.  Visitation will be from 4:00pm until the time of the service.  Private interment will be held at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Cemetery.

Testimonials

Joan Schrader and family

We want to thank Mike for the kindness and special attention he gave us for our mother. Marcella Conley. He came in the middle of the night himself to pick her up and take her to the funeral home. For the things that had to be taken care of, he told us not to worry; that it would be taken care of by him. Thank you also Mike for singing at her funeral, especially her favorite song, Amazing Grace. Thank you and all of your staff at Draeger-Langendorf.
