Willie E. Odum, age 99, answered the call of her loving Savior on Tuesday, August 29, 2017.  She was born  on July 7, 1918 in Mississippi, the oldest child of Parthenia Robinson. She will be remembered as a woman who loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church worshiping and singing his praises. She also truly enjoyed cooking and going fishing.

She was preceded in death by her mother Parthenia Robinson, brothers Iriasa and Fred Murray, sister Sadie Robinson and grandson Delone Peebles.

She will be remembered and forever cherished by her daughter Willie Peebles, Son in Law Jack Quincy Peebles Grandchildren: Roman Peebles, Elaine Peebles, DeEvony Peebles, Talevikin Peebles, William Peebles. Great Grandchildren: Taurus (JaTawn) Pinson, Roman (Leanna) Peebles and Ramon Peebles. Great Great Grandchildren: DeReginald Campbell, Lytwan Campbell, Daishon Pinson, Tyrese Pinson, Willow Peebles, and Shiloh Peebles. Special nephews Randy and Willie Walls. Special friends: Georgia Wade, Maria Santiago, Pastor and Sis Thomas, Deacon and Sister Jackson, Brother and Sister Wright and many other family and friends.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, 12:00pm at New Brighter Day Baptist Church, 1225 25th Avenue, Kenosha, WI. You’re invited to visit with the family from 11:00 – 12:00pm. Rev. Joseph L. Thomas will be Officiating.

    Mother Odum will truly be missed by our church family at NewBrighterDay, especially her breaking out sanging those old church songs, one that sticks out is when she would start sanging”Come on in the room, where JESUS is my Dr and he give me all my medicine in the room!!
