Racine, WI –

Tellus Maric Ellis was born on April 18, 1980 to Annette McGee and the late Albert Ellis in Batesville, Mississippi. Tellus received his formal education in the Racine Unified Schools system, graduating from Horlick High School.

Tellus accepted Christ as his Savior at an early age and was united with North Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Taylor. MS, he later joined Full Gospel Church in Racine, WI under the leadership of Apostle John Williams. In his leisure time Tellus enjoyed sports. During his younger years he played basketball and football. He enjoyed cooking out and didn’t need a special occasion to start up the grill. Tellus loved his family and friends. He had a heart of gold and he was an old soul.  He didn’t mind lending a listening ear, sitting down for talks or giving a helping hand to anyone who needed him.  Tellus loved spending time with his family any chance he could.

Tellus Maric Ellis passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020. He leaves to cherish his precious memories; his sons Solomon Ellis and Carson Weller both of Racine, WI; his mother Annette McGee of Racine, WI; his brother Edward House of Batesville, MS; his sisters Catina Jackson of Memphis, TN, Pamela McGee and LaKazia Ellis both of Racine, WI; his grandparents Miller and Mary Backstrom of Joliet, IL as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Tellus was preceded in death by his grandmother Josephine Fondren; grandfathers John Earl Jones and Thomas Ellis and his godson Tyrese West.

Testimonials

October 9, 2020

I would like to thank Mike Langendorf, Bill Althaus and the rest of the staff for the wonderful celebration of the life for my father Raymond L. Szymanski who was a WWII veteran. I especially appreciate how much you really listen and the questions you asked regarding who my father was and what he was all about. Those details showed up in every part of the service from the flowers, the music, the thank you’s, pictures, obituary, outdoor military honors, etc. etc. My father would have been so grateful for the way you honored his life. I also received phone calls from family and friends indicating how beautiful the service was in every way. You and your staff definitely go above and beyond. You treat everyone like family and your compassion is so genuine. There should be more people in the world just like all of you. No words can express our gratitude for all you have done for myself, my father and our family. Thank you so very much and may the Lord bless you and yours! Sincerely Terri Carls and the Szymanski Family
