
Racine- Theresa F. Sugent, 82, passed away at All Saints-St. Mary’s Medical Center on Wednesday, August 2, 2006. Theresa was born in Durand, WI on July 25, 1924 to the late Ignatz and Anna (nee: Bauer) Koller. On September 4, 1948 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Durand, she was united in marriage to Albert Joseph Sugent, who preceded her in death on August 29, 1998. A tireless and exceptional homemaker, Theresa loved striving to be the best wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed gardening and was an outstanding cook. Above all, her happiest times were those when surrounded by her entire family. Theresa was a longtime member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. Surviving are her children, Deborah (Thomas) Wiedenhaft of Racine; Kathleen (Larry) Komberec of Palmyra; Leann (Richard) O’Connor, and Thomas (Tamara) Sugent, both of Racine; grandchildren, Staci O’Connor; Jodie, Katie and Alex Sugent; sister, Eleanor (Kenneth) McMahan of Eau Claire; brothers, Erwin (Julia) Koller of Rock Falls; Clarence (Dorothy) Koller of Summerfield, FL; and James Koller of Durand; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Theresa was preceded in death by his brother, Ermon (Geraldine) Koller; Albert’s parents, Simon and Eva (nee: Melis) Sugent; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Adolph (Frances) Sugent, Victor (Elaine) Sugent, and Sophia (Herman) Glomp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 7, 2006 at 6:00 pm at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Avenue, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Private entombment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum on Tuesday. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 4:00 – 6:00 pm. In memory of Theresa, memorials to St. Lucy Church or one’s favorite charity have been suggested. A special note of thanks to Dr. Michael P. Mullane and staff; the nurses of All Saints-St. Mary’s; and to everyone at Vitas Hospice for the compassionate care and support that was so warmly extended to Theresa during her time of need.
