Betty E. Schlenz, 75, died unexpectedly on Saturday, August 5, 2006 while visiting her family in New Jersey. She was born in Herbert, PA on February 23, 1931, the daughter of the late Robert C. and Ruth I. (nee: Barnhart) Holliday. She lived in Racine for most of her life. Betty retired from In-sink-erator with over 30 years of service. Betty had many interests including, sewing, golfing, dancing and traveling. She especially was proud of her black belt in shopping. Her survivors include her three loving children, Linda (Jan) Blum of West Creek, NJ, Donald (Dorothy) Rae of Kenosha, William (Margaret) Bainbridge IV of Crofton, MD; 7 grandchildren, Jon Blum, Janel (Juan) Gonzales, Donny (Jennifer) Rae, Evelyn, B.J., Spencer and Matthew Bainbridge; great grandchildren, Faith and Ashley Rae, Noah Gonzales; sister, Patricia Swoboda of Palos Park, IL; dear aunts, Beatrice Franks, Gwendolyn Freeney, Mary Breakiron all of Pennsylvania; niece, Kimberly (John) Schultz of Oak Lawn, IL and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, her brother, Fred Vida, Jr. also preceded her in death. Family and friends are invited to meet at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at noon for the celebration and remembrance of Betty’s life with Rev. Kara Baylor officiating. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
