Clarence Becker "CJ" Jensen

Racine – Clarence Becker “CJ” Jensen, 91, passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 4, 2011.

He was a lifelong resident of Racine.  He was born January 13, 1920, to the late Louis Jensen and Pearl Becker.

On August 22, 1942, Clarence was united in marriage to Jeanette Marie Rasmussen who preceded him in death in 1970.  On March 8, 1980, Clarence was united in marriage to Virginia Bequeaith, at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Racine.

He graduated from Racine Park High School in 1938.  Clarence served his country as a Staff Sergeant with the Army Air Force in the Pacific Theatre of World War II.  Following his military service, he was a telecommunications repairman for AT&T and retired in 1982.  Clarence was a devoted member and usher of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection.  He loved cars, especially Mustangs, Civil War history, travelling, and being in the surroundings of his family.  Clarence especially loved spending time with his family in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.

Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Virginia; children, Carol Jensen of Racine, James (Judith) Jensen of Sturtevant, David (Kim) Jensen of Evergreen, CO; step-children, Joe (Julie) Bequeaith of Whitehall, IL, Mike (Candi) Bequeaith of Spring TX, David (Rose) Bequeaith, Debbie (Bob) Knudson, Vickie (Mark) Parrish all of  Racine, Charles (Kim) Bequeaith of Nashota, Paul Bequeaith of Ft. Meyers, FL; grandchildren, Sarah (Joel) Jahnke, Christian Jensen, Ann (Jeff) Molinaro, Jake (Jessica) Jensen, Kara Jensen, Ashley Jensen; step-grandchildren, Jodi (Bill) Brewster, Jon Bequeaith, Jessica (Jeff) Boivin, Nichole (Benny) Agasta, Courtney Bequeaith, Ryan Bequeaith, Robert Knudson, Derrick (Tiffany) Knudson, Heather Knudson, Emily Bequeaith, Eric Bequeaith, Nicholas Bequeaith, Matthew Parrish, ten great-grandchildren, twenty step-great-grandchildren, and many other family members too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents and first wife, Clarence is preceded in death by his brothers Harvey (Jeanette) Jensen and Leo Jensen.

A memorial service with full military honors will be held for Clarence on Saturday, August 13, 2011, 1:00pm, at Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 322 Ohio Street, with Rev. Dr. Melvin Miritz officiating. Visitation will be at the church from noon until the time of the service.  The family has suggested memorials to the Paralyzed Vets of America, the Alzheimer’s Association, or a charity of your choice.
