After being honorably discharged, he was self employed as a cement contractor before joining Korndoerfer Construction Company, as a cement finisher. He was an avid sports fan and loved his Packers, Badgers, and Brewers.  Spero also enjoyed playing golf.  Above all, he treasured his family and will be dearly missed by all who loved him.

Spero leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Edward (Karen) Stayanovich of Racine, William Stayanovich of Racine, Lee (Bradley) Ludwigson of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, Jason (Brianna Cash) Stayanovich of Washington D.C., Anna (Kevin) Gleason of Racine, Courtney (Daniel) Zuk, Mitchell Ludwigson, both of Aurora, CO; great-grandchildren, Alexander Gleason, Hylas Stayanovich; sisters, Mary Orlovsky of Racine, Rose Genunzio of Branson, MO; nieces, Rachel (John) Brown of Branson, MO, Mary Frances (Marcus) Andrews of Kenosha; and nephew, Tom Kalenofske.  In addition to his parents and wife, Jackie, Spero is preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

A funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 18, 2012, 6pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating.  Visitation will be from 4pm until the time of the service.  Private burial will take place at Graceland Cemetery on December 19, 2012.  Memorials have been suggested to a charity of your choice.

Testimonials

November 13, 2019

The funeral service was just beautiful and very warming to everyone including my family. All the pictures they did and the employees were just fantastic. This is one funeral home I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to feel comfortable and to be treated like family. I can’t say enough good things because it was just such a warm welcome. Thank you to Mark and Mike. We couldn’t have done it without all of you.
