PATRICIA WALKER

RACINE – Patricia Walker, age 49, passed away with her family by her side on Friday, December 13, 2013. She was born January 13, 1964 to the union of Ed and Dora (Arthur) Mullins in Racine, Wisconsin. She confessed her love for Christ at a young age. As a child, she attended Greater Mt. Eagle Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Charles E. Thornhill and then later joined New Omega Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Fred L. Richmond Sr.

Patricia graduated from Horlick High School in 1982 and then jumped right into the workplace. She had numerous places of employment. Her last place of employment was the Jewish Care Center in Milwaukee, WI.

Patricia was a reflection of her grandmother, Josephine Marshall, who taught and showed her the true meaning of being a Good Samaritan. Like her grandmother, she was known for extending a helping hand to family and friends who needed it. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She also took pleasure in helping raise her grandchildren, playing darts and watching sports. Patricia had a love for music especially R. Kelly.

Patricia leaves to cherish her fond memories: three children, Ranisha Mullins-Ward, Christopher Sr.  and Anthony Mullins; four grandchildren, Christajah, Christopher Jr., Cord’e, and Christopher III Mullins; her mother, Dora Mullins; three sisters, Betty Marshall, Linda Mullins, and Sherrie Price; one brother, Clifford Mullins; God-daughter, Shavanna Nicole Muhammad; Special Friends, Sam Beavers, Alpanya Muhammad, Luvenia Avant, Drenna Smith, Sarah Silas, ex-husband Arthur Walker and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Mullins; her twins, Ed and Edwina Mullins; grandparents, James & Josephine Marshall, Homer Mullen, Eugene & Trully Bell Farr; and two uncles, James “Jimmie” Arthur and John Wilson.

Her Homegoing Service will be celebrated in the New Omega Missionary Baptist Church, 5731 Northwestern Ave., on Friday, December 20th, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Fred L. Richmond Sr. officiating. Visitation will be in the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The family would like to thank Froedtert Hospital for the care and compassion shown Patricia and her family.

Testimonials

December 18, 2024

Words cannot even begin to express the tremendous gratitude our family has for a team like the one at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home & Crematory. Thank you for the gentle lovely care over our mother Delia (Rosa) Balderas. Never having had a direct experience with a funeral home to this extent we didn’t know what to expect. We didn’t have a clue that they would step right in and have the most comforting team surrounding us that thought of ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING for anyone in our position. It was very evident from the first discussion on the phone that they were already well prepared to handle every little detail for us that we weren’t even aware would be required. Mark and his team truly eased so much of the unknown worries right out of our path, and left room for us to just focus on the small personal details we wanted for our mom. It was nice to know that all cost involved was in black and white on their site as well as on paper at our first meeting. Leaving no room for question or doubt what so ever with any fee involved. It was truly a blessing to have everything written out so well and simplified with various price range options in a time that we needed crystal clear direction. Its been beautiful to see that their care and service didn’t stop after our mom’s service came to an end. They continue to be in communication with immediate responses as questions arise along the way. God bless Mark, and the entire compassionate team, to be around to guide many many more for generations to come through life’s most difficult times. You are all truly amazing.

Hilda Balderas
