Gerald Sadlon

     Gerald R. Sadlon, 84, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014. He was born in Racine, on June 14, 1929 the son of the late George and Anne (nee: Kurhajec) Sadlon.
     Jerry served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On June 14, 1977, he was united in marriage to his wife Jean.  He owned and operated Kehl and Nelson Roofing for over 25 years, retiring in 1991.  Jerry was a member of the Kenosha Shrine Unity Lodge #357 and the Scottish Rite -Milwaukee. He also was a member of KCC.  Jerry enjoyed living life to the fullest and did everything he wanted to except skydiving.  He was an avid golfer and loved to travel with his wife Jean.
     Surviving are his wife Jean; children, Jill (Rodney) McAllister, of Gardiner, MT,  Lynn (Richard) Burnett, of Kenosha,  Jay (Dawn) Sadlon, of Oshkosh, Christopher Sadlon, of Milwaukee, Tina (Doug) Krimmer, of Oak Creek, Julie (Mark) Osten, of Verona, Maryjo (Tom) Klappa, of Kenosha, Jamie (Dave) Bonell, of Oshkosh, Patrick (Debra) Gerum, of Big Bend, and Thomas (Deborah) Gerum, of Tomahawk; 29 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brothers and sister, Marilyn(Lloyd) Bassindale, of Racine, George (Ramona) Sadlon, of DePere, Richard (Jane) Sadlon, in Florida; sister-in-law, Phyllis (Stan) Makowski, of Bluffton, IN. He also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous and loyal friends. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Sadlon.
     In keeping with Jerry’s wishes, a private service, with full military honors, was held in the chapel of the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery. For those who wish, memorials have been suggested to Shriners Hospital for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave. Elmwood Park, IL  60707, or the Salvation Army
