vet
Oct 4, 1944 – Jun 25, 2014

Racine- George Thomas Pawelski, 69, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 following a brief battle with cancer.

George was born in Stevens Point, WI on October 4, 1944 , the youngest of seven children to the late Emil and Catherine (nee: Doyle) Pawelski. After attending William Horlick High School, he went on to faithfully serve our Country with the United States Army in the Vietnam War. On August 13, 1966 he was united in marriage with the love of his life, Diane Terese (nee: Foote) Pawelski, who preceded him in death on January 25, 2012.

George had a successful career as a Professional Touring Pool Player & Instructor. During his lifetime, the Polish Prince was the 3x Midwestern States 14-1 Straight Pool, 2x Midwestern States 9 Ball, 6X Wisconsin Open 14-1 Straight Pool and 7x Wisconsin Open 9 Ball Champion. George also enjoyed playing cards – especially Poker & Cribbage; and an all-around sports fan – especially a golf fanatic. He also had a great passion for animals – mainly for his canine companions “Boo” & “E.J.”.

Surviving are his loving daughters, Daari and Denise Pawelski; grandchildren, Samantha and Maxwell Tussler; devoted companion, Karen; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service celebrating George’s life will be held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at 2:00 pm in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Jones officiating. Military honors will follow. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Sunday from 12 noon – 2 pm.  In memory of George, memorials to ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) have been suggested.

Testimonials

October 22, 2015

We would like to personally thank Brian for what a warm, compassionate funeral you arranged. You always put our thoughts first and answered and responded to my many phone calls about everything. The artistry of the belongings of our son was amazing. Everything was so beautiful. So many people complimented on how the arrangement was set up by you. We as a family will never forget what you did for us in our time of need. Thank you very much Brian.
