David Charles Andersen

vet
Nov 22, 1937 – Nov 15, 2014

Racine – David C. Andersen, 76, passed away at his residence on November 15, 2014, surrounded by the love of his family.  He was born in Racine on November 22, 1937, son of the late Leroy and Anita (nee: Walters) Andersen.

David was married to the love of his life, Althea “Teddy” Koegel, on April 11, 1964, in Mukwonago, WI.
David was a lifelong resident of Racine.  He proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Navy from 1955-1957 and in the Naval Reserves until 1963.

David leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Althea “Teddy” Andersen; daughter, Annette (Michael) McGregor; brothers, Ronald Andersen, Lyle Andersen; sisters, Cheryl Dexter, Janice Hanssen; other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention.

The family will hold private services.  In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorials to The Health Care Network, Inc. or to the Battle Buddy Foundation.

  1. Kathy McGregor says

Dave’s big heart will live on through his family. His friendship was true, and his love for his family was evident in how exceedingly well he has taken care of them over the years. He struggled when the tide turned and they had to take care of him, but it also allowed him to see how much they truly loved him too. I am so grateful his pain has ended, and I pray to God for peace and mercy for the family to endure the pain and grief that comes with this end of life process, and hope in knowing that we will all be reunited in heaven some day. My sympathies for all of Dave’s family and friends, but especially Teddy, Annette and Mike.

Testimonials

June 24, 2020

My Aunt, Alvera Van Brunt, was adamant about not having a funeral; with Mike Langendorf’s skills and refreshing open personality, we were able to meet her desires and also give her family and friends a chance for final goodbyes.
