vet
Jan 26, 1919 – Feb 21, 2015

RACINE – Mr. Carl E. Brommer, 96, passed away at WFH – All Saints on Saturday, February 21, 2015.

He was born in Urne, WI on January 26, 1919 to the late Wilhelm and Marie (nee: Johnson) Brommer. Carl proudly served his nation with the US Army in the European/North African Theater during WWII where he received numerous military honor service medals; including the Bronze and Silver Stars.  On December 15, 1951 he married the love of his life, Cora Steinke.

Carl retired as a machinist with Racine Hydraulics in 1984 after 20 years of service.  He was a loving and kind man that had a wonderful sense of humor, a warm smile and a quick wit.  He will be dearly missed by those that loved him.

In addition to his wife, Cora, Carl is survived by his daughter, Debbie (Jim) Edwards; his son, Joel (Terrie) Brommer; son-in-law, Tilmon “Tim” Williams all of Racine; his 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Ernest Steinke of Gilmantown, WI; as well as many dear nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sheila Williams and 9 brothers and sisters.

A private service will be held in the spring and an interment will take place in the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
