Randy Eugene Sorenson

Racine – Randy Eugene Sorenson; age 59; passed away at Select Specialty Hospital in West Allis on Thursday, July 2, 2015.

    Randy was born in Racine on September 29, 1955 to Eugene and Delores (nee: Borkowski) Sorenson. He attended the schools of Goodland, Starbuck and Case. Randy served our country with the United States Army. With a great interest in cars, he was a talented automobile mechanic for most of his working career.

   Among his interests, Randy an extreme NASCAR fan, enjoyed shooting pool and was a gifted woodworking artist. Randy was truly a free-spirit who appreciated the simple things in life.

   Surviving are his sons, Nick (Christy) Keeran and Josh (Alaina) Keeran; daughter, Megan (Tim Steiner) Vaughn; grandchildren, Anthony, Hailey, Julia and Ava Keeran; Casey Keeran; and Jaden Steiner; father, Eugene Sorenson; sisters, Cynthia (Bill) Hetland and Debra (Linus) Heydon; brother, Ned (Peggy) Sorenson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many, many friends – including Teri and his extended family at the Boiler Room. Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Delores (nee: Borkowski) Sorenson.

   A Service of Remembrance will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 7:00 pm with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5-7 pm.  

   A special note of thanks to all of our family & friends for the outpouring of love and support given over the past few months – especially to Randy’s caring niece, Jody (Rick) Stimps.
