Buster Davis

vet
Feb 24, 1930 – Jan 16, 2016

~~Kenosha – Buster Davis, 85, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Aurora Medical Center, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Tremont, Mississippi on Feb. 24, 1930, Buster was the son of the late Lorenzo Dow and Edna Cumi (Weeks) Davis.  He came to the Kenosha area following four years of service in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  In April 1953, he married the late Carole Beam.  Buster worked for 40 years at Anaconda American Brass, retiring in 1993.  Following his brief retirement, he worked for 13 years at Sunset Ridge Cemetery.  He found happiness for the last 30 years with his loving partner, Eva Faye Silvernail.
Buster was a kind and true Southern gentleman who will be dearly missed by those whose lives he touched.  He is survived by his daughter, Mischelle (Michael) Lischewski of Waukegan, IL; Eva Faye Silvernail; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Buster was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob, Lawrence, and Bill; and his sisters Mildred, Madgie, Melrose, and Jennie.
Special thanks to the angels on the staffs of Aurora Medical Center and Aurora at Home Hospice for their incredible care and support of Buster and his family.  You are truly amazing people and will be in our hearts forever.  Thanks also to Buster’s doctors, Ikram Rashid, M.D., Malik Bandealy, M.D., and Ali Khan, M.D.
Funeral service for close family and friends will be held on Saturday, Jan. 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church in Kenosha.  The Draeger Langendorf Funeral Home in Racine is serving the family.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to either the Aurora at Home Hospice Program or Plymouth Congregational Church.

Testimonials

August 1, 2025

Gary is a warm, kind, loving, human being. He seems to have passed that quality onto the rest of his family. I have deep respect for him and his family. I have been able to say goodbye to several of my friends in this beautiful facility. God Bless.
