Gerald "Jerry" Mason Stickland

vet
May 23, 1939 – Feb 22, 2016

Racine – Gerald Mason Stickland, known to all as “Jerry”, 76, received the promise of eternal life on Monday, February 22, 2016, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.  He was born on May 23, 1939, son of the late Mason and Geraldine (nee: Humbert) Stickland.

He was united in marriage to David Fanelli on March 11, 2015, at the Carthage College Chapel.

Jerry proudly and faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force.  He was a vice-president for Wisconsin Metal Products until his retirement.  Jerry loved sewing, embroidering, Bingo, dining out, traveling, and spending time with his family.  He was a member of Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church.  Jerry was a one-of-a-kind friend, irreplaceable to those lucky enough to know and love him.  He will be dearly missed.

Jerry leaves to cherish his memory, his spouse, David Fanelli; daughter, Lisa (Terrence) Mack; grandchildren, CeCi Scheuber, Mason Mack, Carson Mack; sisters, Chris (Bill) Mack, Cindy (Jay) Sweney; brother, Jon Stickland; former spouse, Dori (Alan) Anderson; longtime friends, Diane Steiner, Gary and Mary Sue Langendorf; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends too numerous to mention.

In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Stickland; and sister-in-law, Sue Stickland.

A celebration of Jerry’s life will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016, 7:00pm, at Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home and Crematory, 4600 County Line Road, with Rev. David Echelbarger officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00pm until the time of the service.  Cremation will follow the services according to Jerry’s wishes.

The family would like to say a special “Thank You” to Emily and the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospice for the love and care given to Jerry during this difficult time.

Testimonials

May 22, 2019

We recently used Draeger-Langendorf’s services for my grandmothers funeral and we are so thankful for Mike and the rest of the staffs help. They made the whole process easy and never urged us to make a certain choice. They were very informative of how the service was going to go and always made sure we knew what was going on. To our surprise Mike Langendorf was there singing in the choir during the funeral and it really made us feel like he truly cared about us. Such a fantastic singing voice! Amazing people to have helping plan during a hard time, would highly recommend.
