Oct 25, 1969 – Mar 4, 2009

Racine – William L. “Tyree” Searcy, 39, passed away unexpectedly at All Saints Hospital on Wednesday, March 4, 2009. He was a Racine area resident for most of his life. Tyree enjoyed many sports – especially baseball and basketball, and helping with the Wisconsin Wildcats Sports Organization. He also liked listening to his CD collection, and watching movies. Most of all he enjoyed being with his family. Tyree loved the Lord, and attended Faith Builders International Ministries in Milwaukee. Tyree is survived by his children, Corrina Moore of Atlanta, GA, Christopher Owens of Stevens Point, and Tamyrea Searcy of Sacramento, CA; his father and stepmother, Herman and Carlotta Searcy of Bells, TN; his brothers, James Searcy of Oakland, CA, Angelo Searcy of MS, and Jeffrey Searcy of Racine; his sisters, Sherry Searcy of Fort Worth, TX, and Marika (Eric) Eanes of Racine; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Wava and John Days. Homegoing services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2009, with Rev. Willie Scott officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Memorials for the family’s use are encouraged.

Revelation 14:13 “Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord”. Know that William is now resting from his earthly labour. Although he will be missed; cherish every memory and thank God for the times he allowed each of us to share with him. Please know that I am continuing in prayer for the family. May the peace of God be with you during your time of bereavement.
