Kenneth Louis Mowry, Jr.

Mar 9, 1964 – May 4, 2009

Racine- Kenneth Louis Mowry, Jr., 45, passed away at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center on Monday, May 4, 2009. Kenny was born in Racine on March 9, 1964 to Kenneth Louis and Pamela Jean (nee: Stephen) Mowry, Sr. He received his education from Walden High School and Gateway Technical College. Kenny was an accomplished automobile mechanic at his family business, Mowry’s Service Station on Taylor Avenue, where he established many lifelong friendships with customers. Kenny absolutely loved to fish, especially at Brown’s Lake. He had a great appreciation for the simple things in life….thunderstorms, fireworks, Andy Griffith, Clint Eastwood, drag strips and the Green Bay Packers. Above all, he treasured being in the surroundings of his entire family. Surviving are his adored daughters, Nikita Wallin, Samantha Hawkins and Katelyn Mowry; grandson, Rylee; parents, Ken and Janet Mowry, Sr.; Irving Marko; sisters, Deanna Mowry and Kim (Michael) Lueck; brothers, Michael (Anne Leuschen) Marko, Brian (Sue) Walley and Dave Walley; uncles, Michael (Debra) Mowry and Chuck (Vicky) Stephen; aunt, Betsy (Clarence) Perry; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Pamela Marko; girlfriend, Mona Drew; and uncle, Patrick Mowry. In accordance with Kenny’s wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 12:30 pm with Rev. Dr. Warren D. Williams officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. A heartfelt note of thanks to the entire staff of All Saints ICU for the compassionate care and tremendous support that was so warmly extended in Kenny’s time of need. May God bless all of you!
