Theresa A. Bengston

Jan 4, 1957 – Nov 14, 2009

Muskego (formerly of Racine) – Theresa A. (nee: Maier) Bengston, 52, joined her beloved husband – Mark, in eternal life on Saturday, November 14, 2009 following a tragic automobile accident. She was born on January 4, 1957, daughter of Frederick and Marguerite (nee: Blommel) Maier. In 1975, she graduated from Walden III. She worked as a seamstress at the Nimble Thimble, before returning to Gateway Technical Institute where she achieved a 4.1 grade average and received her drafting degree. Employed at WE Energies for the past 25 years, she truly loved her job and considered her co-workers as an extended family. On November 22, 1985, she married the love of her life, Mark Bengston. They resided in Milwaukee, eventually settling in Muskego, WI where they created a beautiful woodland wildlife habitat of their yard. Theresa loved gardening, camping, hiking, boating, fishing, enjoyed the great outdoors, and spending time with Mark, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark; parents, Frederick and Marguerite Maier; father-in-law, Clifford Bengston; and infant nephew, Ian. Survivors include her brothers, Tom Maier and Greg (Michelle) Maier; sister, Joann (Gary Van Eperen) Maier; mother-in-law, Doris Bengston; sister-in-law, Marlene (Gary) Skovsted; brother-in-law, Miles (Mary) Bengston; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Theresa’s Life will be in the funeral home on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm.

I was one of the witnesses of Theresa’s accident last Saturday. Having seen it happen, I waited to leave until I could talk to the police. While I felt little and helpless, I cannot say enough about those who are trained to help in those situations!  Theresa was in good, caring hands.  Please know although there was no way at the time to know who was in the vehicle, my thoughts and prayers have been with – Theresa, as I now know – and her family since the moment I saw the tragedy start to unfold.

May you find comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Testimonials

Jason C.

It has been a long while in business since I have experienced and witnessed someone be truly great at what they do. That was my experience with Mike and team. Above and beyond hardly encompasses their professionalism and compassion during our family’s bereavement.

Thank you most sincerely,
Jason C.
