Racine- Jean M. (nee: Cassity) Quadraccia, 60, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded with the love of her family, on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Jean was born in Racine on January 13, 1950 to Robert and Doris (nee: Remter) Cassity. A 1968 graduate of Washington Park High School, she went on to attend Gateway Technical College and University of Wisconsin – Parkside. On June 20, 1970 in St. Patrick Catholic Church, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Albert F. Quadraccia. Although Jean was great supporter of their family business, Landmark Title Corp. – Kenosha, she fulfilled her dream of being a full-time mother, a vocation she completely excelled in. Jean was member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Among her interests, she enjoyed crafting, creating many original pieces which she proudly sold in many local art fairs; golfing and bowling with friends in various leagues; shopping, cooking, gardening, landscaping, reading; travelling – especially to Paris, France and Hawaii; enjoyed foreign films; and absolutely loved spoiling her grandchildren. Above all, she cherished and treasured being together with her entire family.
Surviving are her loving husband of 40 years, Al; their children, Nicholas (Shelby) Quadraccia, Joseph Quadraccia and Kelly (David) Young; grandchildren, Cody and Cassity Quadraccia; beloved parents, Robert (Cheryl) Cassity and Doris (Bruce “Jake”) Jacobson; brothers, Brian (Debbie) Cassity and Daniel Cassity; sister, Nora (Jeff) Erlandson; mother-in-law, Josephine (nee: Recupero) Quadraccia; sister-in-law, Judy (Al) Walek; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends too numerous to mention by name. Jean was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Frank Quadraccia.
Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 6:00 pm with Rev. John D. Roekle officiating. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 3-6 pm. Private entombment will take place at Calvary Cemetery Garden Crypts.
A special note of thanks to Dr. Michael Mullane and Hospice Alliance for the compassionate care and support; and to all our family and friends for everything you have done for us during Jean’s journey with cancer. May God bless all of you!
