Adelia Marie Johnsen

Jun 19, 1930 – Nov 6, 2010

RACINE – Marie Johnsen (nee: Cadman), 80, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 6, 2010, following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Marie was born on June 19, 1930, in Durango, Colorado. She was the beloved daughter of Josef and Theresia (nee: Fuchsgruber – Cadman) Lindner.  On October 2, 1948, she was united in marriage to LeRoy D. Johnsen at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in St. Martins.  Following marriage, Marie and LeRoy settled and raised their family on a picturesque little farm in Raymond Township.  Over the years, Marie made many dear and special friendships, including those she made during her 25 plus year career at C&D (Maple Leaf) Farms in Raymond and, most recently, at her home at Fountain Hills.
Marie leaves to cherish her memory her three children: Bob (Connie) Johnsen; Kathy (Tom) Hasenstein; and Paul (Lynn) Johnsen; her loving and thoughtful grandchildren: Terri (David) Radandt; Don (Shelly) Johnsen; Katie (Jack) DeWees; Heather (Jen Lister) Hasenstein; Jason (Marie) Hasenstein; John (Carriel) Johnsen; and Adam Johnsen; and her beloved great grandchildren:  Duncan Radandt; Jay and Josh DeWees; and Alexis Marie and Leah Johnsen.  Marie is further survived by her dear sister Joyce Peterson; her brother Joe (Rosemary) Lindner; and her sister-in-law Elaine Cadman.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband LeRoy, her brothers Gerald and Glenn Cadman and brother-in-law Richard (Pete) Peterson.  She is further survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews, other relatives and dear friends, including her lifelong best friend, June Goder.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 3320 S. Colony Avenue, Union Grove, WI, with Father Robert Kacalo officiating.  Following the service, Marie will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park.  There will be a visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.  Following the visitation, all are welcome to join the family at 7:00 p.m. in sharing memories and celebrating the gift of Marie’s life.  Memorials may be directed to Hospice Alliance.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Michael Mullane, Dr. Jerry Hardacre and their staffs, Bob at the Infusion Center, and the wonderful people at Hospice Alliance for their kindness and compassionate care of Marie over the years.

Testimonials

Thankful

We recently used Draeger-Langendorf’s services for my grandmothers funeral and we are so thankful for Mike and the rest of the staffs help. They made the whole process easy and never urged us to make a certain choice. They were very informative of how the service was going to go and always made sure we knew what was going on. To our surprise Mike Langendorf was there singing in the choir during the funeral and it really made us feel like he truly cared about us. Such a fantastic singing voice! Amazing people to have helping plan during a hard time, would highly recommend.
