Esther H. Cramer

Jul 9, 1918 – Nov 9, 2010

     Mrs. Esther H. Cramer, 92, passed away in Ridgewood Care Center on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, surrounded by her family. She was born in Sioux City, IA on July 9, 1918 the daughter of Leo and Anna (nee: Niichel) Jackley.

     On October 24, 1936, she was united in marriage to Robert J. Cramer who preceded her in death on June 15, 1971.She was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. Mrs. Cramer enjoyed sewing, quilting, and reading.

      Surviving are her children, Robert (Linda) Cramer, of Antioch, IL, Richard (Kathy Mevis) Cramer, Penny (Steffen) Kiesler, Kathy (Tom) Sheriff, LuAnn (Bud) Niznansky, Laurie (Randy) Webb, all of Racine, Joey (Joe) McMahon, of St. Louis; 29 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren; her sister-in-law and friend, Mary Lou Cramer of Racine. Mrs. Cramer is also survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

       Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3035 Drexel Ave at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 12th, with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Private inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery Garden Crypts. The family has suggested memorials to the Ridgewood Care Center Activates Department.
