Sep 4, 1945 – Nov 11, 2010

Annie’s biggest thrill came from being with her family that she loved so much. She was proud of her children, and delighted in caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was anticipating the births of 4 new great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and caring for others. Annie was always on the go, and loved playing  softball . Annie retired from AMC/Chrysler with over 36 years of service. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Annie leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Geneva (Stephen) Askew of Racine, Annie V. (Damon Ford) Menifield of Appleton, Dorothy (Samuel Mitchell) Earl of Kankakee, Illinois, and Octavia (Quentin Williams) Earl of Racine; her fiancé, Charles Trotter of Kankakee; twenty-one grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Eddie Roy (Ethel) Lockridge, Rev. Jimmie (Claretha) Lockridge, Elizabeth Lewis, Betty Moral, Merle Monroe, and Earl Monroe; her dear aunt, Mary Peavy;special cousin John Kidd, her four step kids Samuel , Isaiah, Sakiya and Kayla;  as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Samuel Howard Earl; three grandchildren; and 2 great-nephews.

Homegoing services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 with her brother, Rev. Jimmie Lockridge officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place after the service at Graceland cemetery.

Our family extends many special thanks to Dr. Rudy Byron, and Nurse Jackie.

Dear Langendorf Family,

There are no words to describe how thankful and loved we felt during our Grandpa’s funeral service. We are so lucky to know you as friends and we will be forever grateful for everything you have done for us and for Grandpa Mario throughout his lifetime and after his death. He loved you all and enjoyed sharing so many great times with you in the barbershop and as neighbors. Please accept our heartfelt thanks for all your caring ways and thoughtfulness and extend our appreciation to all at the funeral home who made Mario’s service so memorable.
