Mr. Adler also taught at the Florida Institute of Technology in Jensen Beach, FL.  He was an avid bowler and golfer and played in several leagues in Racine.  Always a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.  He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his loving wife, Margaret of Kenosha, with whom he has been married for almost 70 years, he is survived by his children, Richard (Sheri) Adler of Pardeeville, WI, Janice (Ronald) Cramer of Racine, Thomas (Kathy) Adler of Westerville, OH, Diane Adler of Spokane, WA; grandchildren, Jeff Otto (Lizz) Cramer, Cindy (Cory) Johnson, Jon Cramer, Jill (Tim) Lohre, Mark Adler, Michael (Sara) Adler, Christy (Todd) Payne; great grandchildren, Wolfgang, Amber (Corey), Jacob, Caden, Graydin, Kipton, Davis and Cathryn; great-great granddaughter, Emma; sister, Louise (William) Wilhelm of Amherst, OH; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly Adler; brother, Benjamin Adler and sisters, Mary and Anna Born.

Family and friends are invited to meet at Covenant Presbyterian Church (40 Ohio St.) on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of his life and funeral service with Rev. Melanie Hammond-Clark and Rev. Victoria Millar officiating.  There will be a visitation in the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.   A private interment will take place in the Westwood Cemetery in Oberlin, OH.  Memorials have been suggested to either Covenant Presbyterian Church or Wheaton Franciscan Hospice.

A heartfelt thanks to the staff at WFH- All Saints who made his final days as comfortable as possible and to the members of hospice who tended to his comfort and the comfort of his family, and to the pastors of Covenant Presbyterian Church for their caring support.
