Milda Mary Rundle

Jan 31, 1923 – May 3, 2011

Milda M. Rundle, 88, passed away at home on Tuesday, May 3, 2011. She was born in Westfield on January 31, 1923, daughter of the late Paul and Mary (nee: Loose) Dahar. On June 29, 1941 she was united in matrimony to Durward E. Rundle in Fairwater. He preceded her in death in 1975.

Milda began her life in Racine in 1953. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, and had a long career at JI Case Company. She was a woman of many talents and was always “on the go”. She enjoyed many arts and crafts, and was a first-rate seamstress. She also enjoyed arranging flowers, and was a habitual gardener. She was an excellent baker and was always asked to make the cakes for the family weddings. Her family was most important to her, and never missed an opportunity to spend quality time fishing with them.

Milda is survived by her children, Karen (Charles) Guzman of Oshkosh, and Roger (Donna) Rundle of Racine; grandchildren, Scott Sayre, Stephen Sayre, Traci Barthuly, Michael Miller, Kathleen Miller, Debra Rundle, Roger Rundle, Charles Rundle, and Wendy Janasiak; 15 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Rose Dahar of Racine.  She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Milda was also preceded by her daughter, Marilyn Miller.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 1:00pm on Monday, May 9, 2011 with Rev. Carol Hegland officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation in the funeral home will begin at 11:30am. Memorials to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer have been suggested.
