Rose Mary Olson

Feb 2, 1915 – Jun 5, 2011

   Mrs. Rose M. Olson (nee: Juras), 96, passed away at Ridgewood Care Center on Sunday, June 5, 2011.

   A lifelong resident of Racine, she was born on February 2, 1915, the daughter of Constantine and Victoria (nee: Karbowska) Jurasiewicz. 

   Mrs. Olson was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church.  She was a devoted wife to Howard “Red” Olson. Together they enjoyed frequent travels to Florida and northwestern Wisconsin.   He preceded her in death on July 7, 2007.

   She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Bernice Kersten of Racine, Jean (James) Simmons of Raleigh, NC, Marge Decker of Arizona, Connie (Marge) Juras of Waukesha, Alois (Rosalyn) Juras of Hawthorne Woods, IL; sister-in-law, Peggy Juras; as well as many dear nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.  She was also preceded in death by her sisters and brothers, Dorothy and Alex Jurasiewicz, Helen (Al) Bruce, John Juras, Joe (Kay) Juras, Frank (Georgette) Juras and brothers-in-law, Ken Kersten and Bill Decker.

   Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. for a service celebrating Rose’s life. Her entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in Caledonia.  There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Friday from 10-11 a.m.
