Elizabeth Ann Anderson

Aug 14, 1930 – Jan 6, 2012

Racine – Elizabeth Ann (nee: Swanson) Anderson, 81, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, January 6, 2012. She was born in Mason, Wisc on August 14, 1930, daughter of the late Conrad and Gena  (nee: Iverson) Swanson.  On December 7, 1952 she was united in married to Victor F Anderson, Jr. in Waukegan, Illinois.   He preceded her in death in October 2002. 

Elizabeth was a Racine resident for most of her life. She retired from SC Johnson Wax in 1992 after more than 20 years of service. She enjoyed regularly playing cards with her family; reading; and was an avid football fan (Green Bay Packers).  She also loved to go antiquing and adding to her doll and Santa Claus collections. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. 

Elizabeth is survived her loving daughters, Debra Swencki and Glenda Harding both of Racine; daughter-in-law, Tracy Anderson of Valparaiso, Indiana; grandchildren, Gavin (Carissa) Swencki, Stefanie (Nicholas) Ostermann, Ashley Harding all of Racine, and PFC Tyler Harding, USMC in Virginia; ReneeAnderson of Racine and Rachael Luellman of Valparaiso, Indiana; great-grandson Mason Swencki. 

Further survived by her brother and sisters, Glen (Chub) Swanson; Ardith (Albert) Hoffman both of Ashland; Marion (George) Willgrubs of Detroit, Michigan; sisters-in-law, Jean Swanson of Mason; Grace Swanson of Ashland; and Patricia Anderson of Los Gatos, California, and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her son, Victor Anderson; her son-in-law Joel Swencki; her brothers, Clyde (and Faith) Swanson; Conrad (Dave) Swanson; Arthur Swanson; and sisters-in-law, Karen Swanson and Mary Jane Kohler 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Avenue, with Rev. Dr. Warren D. Williams officiating.  Friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday January 11, 2012 from 5PM-7PM, and at the church on Thursday beginning at 10AM. Private committal services will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Wednesday, January 18, 2012. Memorials to the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation, or to Elizabeth Residence have been suggested.
