Fannie Mae Foster

May 5, 1951 – Feb 3, 2012

   Fannie M. Foster was born on May 5th, 1951 in Shelby, Mississippi to Nathaniel and Cora (Glass) Foster.

   Fannie attended school in Kenosha, WI graduating from GTI. She went on to attend school for Culinary Arts at GTI in Racine WI. Later, Fannie and her children moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana where she attended McNeese Culinary Arts School specializing in French Cuisine. Fannie also attended GTI for Interior Design.

   Fannie worked at Great Lakes Navy Base in Illinois, Shoney’s Restaurant, Taste of Wisconsin, Shopko, Draperies Etc. in Wisconsin and Pat’s of Henderson in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

   Fannie loved to cook, sew crochet and spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fannie was a member of Second Baptist Church in Kenosha, WI

   To cherish her memory forever, Fannie leaves her mother, Cora (Glass) Foster; two children, Tohsa R. Foster and Linery L. Foster; nine special grandchildren, Davairian, Christopher, Deijia, Morrissa, Lee, Amber, Tevon, Jaden and Trenton; two special great grandchildren, Ja’syre (Davairian) and De’Jarrion (Christopher); four sisters, Viola Foster-Lovelace, Diane (Danny) Montgomery, Deborah (Daryl) Foster, Janet Foster; two brothers, Jessie (Anna) Foster, Rochester Foster and a host of Uncles, Aunts, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

   Fannie was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Foster, SR.; two brothers, Nathaniel Foster, Jr. and Edward Foster; sister, Lois J Hughes and both her paternal and maternal grandparents.

   Family and friends are invited to meet at Second Baptist Church (3925 32nd Ave. in Kenosha) on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Fannie’s life and Homegoing.  There will be a visitation in the church on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. A private interment will take place at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
