
Tommy D. Braun passed away on his 60th birthday, March 15, 2012, doing what he loved, his job. Tommy was born in Racine on March 15, 1952 the son of the late Victor and Elaine (nee: Lotharius) Braun.
On October 10, 1987, he was united in marriage to the former Patricia A. Szulczewski. Tommy had been employed by Arbee’s Liquors for over 29 years. He and his wife Pat then opened Braun’s Specialty Foods. For the last 5 years Tommy had been employed by CJW. He was a member of Roma Lodge for nearly 25 years. Tommy was an avid golfer. He enjoyed being with people, and outgoing personality touched the lives of everyone who met him.
Surviving are his wife, of nearly 25 years, Pat; a daughter, Lorie Braun; sisters, Linda(Billy Bronson) Taleck, Pat (Ron) Lucas; step-father, Warren Bradley; mother-in-law, Josephine Szulczewski, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard (Wendy) Szulczewski, Jeff (Tracy) Szulczewski, and Cindy (Rich) Day, all of Racine. Tommy is further survived by his nieces, nephews, other relatives, customers, and a host of special and dear friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his father Victor T. Braun, his mother, Elaine Bradley, and his brother-in-law, Ron Taleck.
His funeral service will be held in St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3101 Drexel Ave., on Monday, March 19th, at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. Visitation will be in the church on Monday, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Roma Lodge will hold service at 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials can be directed to his wife Pat, who will create a special memorial for Tommy at a later date.
