Mr. Willie D. Thomas, 84, passed away at WFH – All Saints on Monday, March 19, 2012.
He was born in Memphis, TN on September 26, 1927.
Mr. Thomas retired from Racine Steel Castings after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his daughter, Karla (Mathew A.) Marzette; his grandchildren, Briana G. McRae, Preston Thomas Marzette all of Racine; his sister-in-law, Georgia Fisher of Chicago; his cousin, J. W. “Little Rock” Function; his niece, Lolita Lassiter; special friends, Dominic McRae and Michael Dotson all of Racine; as well as many other dear relatives and friends. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Claybrooks and his mother, Hattie Mae Thomas.
Family and friends are invited to meet at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church (1120 Grand Ave.) on Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. for the celebration of Mr. Thomas’ life and Homegoing with Bishop L.L. Kirby officiating. There will be a visitation in the church on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. His interment will take place at Graceland Cemetery after the service at St. Paul.
