
Racine– Ruth J. (nee: Morelli) Stabler, 85, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Saturday, May 26, 2012.
Ruth was born in Kenosha on November 10, 1926 to the late Salvatore and Josephine (nee: Lamantia) Morelli. She was a graduate of Washington Park High School “Class of 1944”. She went on to work in the office of JI Case Co. from 1944 -1954. She left to fulfill her dream of being a stay-at-home mother, a vocation she tirelessly accomplished with all of her heart.
On June 18, 1949 in First United Methodist Church of Racine, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, James Wesley Stabler. Among her interests, she enjoyed gardening, antiques, collecting milk glass, finding deals at thrift stores and going to Friday afternoon movies with her beloved husband.
Surviving are her loving husband of nearly 63 years, James; their son, Scott (Mary) Stabler; grandchildren, Teresa and Brian Stabler; great-grandson, Travion Hawkins; other dear relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 11 am. Entombment will follow in the crypts of Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be in the funeral home on Thursday from 10-11 am.
