
Kenosha – Beatrice Torres, 71, received the promise of eternal life on Thursday, May 24, 2012. She was born in Valley Wells, TX, on July 29, 1940, daughter of the late Jose and Refujia (nee: Baca) Torres.
Beatrice was an artist and enjoyed working with her hands. She created many crafts including crocheting and knitting. Beatrice loved to cook for her family, especially her always famous homemade tortillas. She was a member of La Hermosa Church in Kenosha. Beatrice loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. Beatrice will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
Beatrice leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Rebecca (Fausto) Gonzales, Janie (Epifanio) Aguirre, LaRonda (Alfredo) Rosas, Raymond Prado, Rita (Rogelio) Atilano, David Prado, all of Kenosha, Richard Prado of Racine; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; sisters, Oralia (Juan) Coronado, Sara (Lupe) De La Rosa, both of Kenosha, Belia Hernandez of Racine, Yolonda (David) Garcia of Houston, TX; and other relatives and dear friends too numerous to mention. In addition to her parents, Beatrice is preceded in death by her son, Remijio Prado; granddaughter, Safara Atilano; brothers, Lupe Torres, Sr., Simon Torres, Marcos Torres, John Torres, Sr., Jose Torres; sisters, Justa Sauceda and Lucia Charo.
A funeral service for Beatrice will be celebrated on Friday, June 1, 2012, 11am, at Racine Family Worship Center, 1848 Mead Street, Racine, with Rev. Guadalupe Torres, Jr. and Rev. Ruben Castanuela officiating. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at St. George Cemetery.
