
Racine – Orpha Lu Pulice, 78, found rest on June 3, 2012 following many years of health battles. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on August 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Carlos and Johnnie Viola (nee: Mackey) Mattoon. Most of her life she had lived in Racine.
Orpha enjoyed a fulfilling career at Local Loan, and Mellon Financial Services as an assistant manager. She was a proud mom and homemaker, and especially loved spoiling her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending all of their sporting events and always cheered them on. Orpha was an avid Packer fan and never missed watching a game. Orpha was a member of 1stEvangelical Lutheran Church.
Orpha is survived by her children, Michael (Eileen) Pulice, Michele Pulice, both of Racine, Lisa (Norman) Fritz of Kenosha; grandchildren, Nicole (Tim) Kloster, Kristyn Fritz, Shannen Fritz, Noelle Fritz, and Austin Fritz; her sisters, Mary Hamilton in Arkansas, and Karen Mack in Michigan; sister-in-law, Marge Pulice of Racine; as well as other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Carletta Mattoon.
Funeral services will be held at 1stEvangelical Lutheran Church, 728 Villa Street, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 with Rev. John Roeckle officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place in the funeral home on Monday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again in the church beginning at 10 a.m Tuesday.
