
RACINE – Mrs. Patricia Jorgensen, 71, passed away unexpectedly at her residence on Thursday, August 2, 2012.
She was born in Chippewa Falls on May 31, 1941, the daughter of the late Basil and Lucrita (nee: Green) Boyd. On August 31, 1960 she married the love of her life, Raymond R. Jorgensen in Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on September 12, 2008.
Pat worked as a nurse for numerous nursing homes in Racine for over 30 years, last working at Lakeshore Manor.
She enjoyed reading, card playing, puzzles, Trivial Pursuit and listening to music. However, she was happiest when she was in the presence of her family; especially in her travels to Mexico with her husband, Ray.
Her survivors include her loving children, David Petrouske of Colorado, Terry (Rich) Kropp of Burlington, WI., Wendy Ritacco of Smithville, MO, Patty Jorgensen of Denver, CO, Gregory Jorgensen of Racine; her dear grandchildren, Adam and Eric Kropp, Casey Madden, Tony, Raymond and Vincent Ritacco; her brother, Thomas Boyd of Racine; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, William (Debra) Jorgensen, Betty Kannenberg and Shirley Marweg; as well as numerous special nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ray, Pat was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dave Ritacco; brother, John Boyd and sister, LoAnn Manders, mother-in-law, Madeline Fechner and brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Myron Manders, Donald Kannenberg, Diane Boyd and Gib Marweg.
Family and friends are invited to meet at the Draeger-Langendorf Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at NOON for the celebration of Pat’s life with Rev. Mark R. Jones officiating. There will be a visitation in the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. until NOON. Cremation will follow the service and a private interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Child Abuse Prevention Association (503 E. 23rd Street, Independence, M0 64055).

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Pat for many years and will miss her wonderful sense of humor. She brought smiles to everyone she met, including the residents she cared for at Lakeshore Manor. She was a very special lady and an inspiration to others with her zest for life.
